Summary

Together with the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports and National Center for Disaster Management, the iLab created an emergency response system for their specific needs.

Real Time Monitoring and Evaluation for the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MoEYS) and National Center for Disaster Management (NCDM) is a project integrating technology in the government process of interactive response, report, and response to emergency. Through the technology use in the user-friendly geography, Primary Education Department (PED), Ministry of Education (MoEYS) can input the key information from the Education Management System Information (EMIS) and share it without having to transfer paper based documents. With cooperation with WFP, the NCDM can also use the resource map to design and implement an improved emergency information system in response to emergency situations.

Our original vision when we established the iLabSEA was that it would ultimately become a separate entity, locally owned and operated, in a model that provides social benefit and fits within the local economy. After 13 years of service to our local community, we are thrilled to announce that InSTEDD has closed our iLabSEA and the team from the LabSEA has now established an independent social enterprise organization, Kawsang.

We are confident that Kawsang will continue to provide the excellent service that has become their leadership team’s standard.
