In collaboration with The National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control (CNM), CamGSM Co. Ltd (also known as Mobitel) and funded by the Malaria Consortium (MC), Malaria Day Zero Alert System, which was implemented in August 2011, is a web-based application that enables health center staff (HC) and village malaria workers (VMWs) in provincial villages to report malaria cases via SMS text alerts to a centralized system. Once centralized, malaria case reports can be resent to areas where outbreaks are probable, as well as elevated up to the national level where emergency action can be taken if necessary.
