Clinton Health Access Initiative
The organization: The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems in the developing world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. CHAI’s solution-oriented approach focuses on improving market dynamics for medicines and diagnostics; lowering prices for treatment; accelerating access to life-saving technologies; and helping governments build the capacity required for high-quality care and treatment programs. In Cambodia beside working with National Center for HIV Aid, CHAI is also a partner working with The National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control (CNM).
The relationship: We supported their malaria drug program with our Resource Map tool to capture malaria drug updates from at risk health centers on a two week cycle. The goal of monitoring resources so closely is to improve the stock management of malaria treatment drugs. This tool helps the health centers to avoid the possibility of over or under stocking important drug supplies.
